I mean, I do like something a lot dewier for that area, but it isn’t at all unflattering and doesn’t settle into the lines. ![]() I even tried it under my eyes, where I tend not to use any matte products, and it was still good. It leaves a long lasting, velvety matte finish that looks almost airbrushed. It makes fast work of redness, pigmentation, blemishes, imperfections and pores, and blends effortlessly into the skin. The concealer has a matte finish, which isn’t usually my preference, but the coverage is so good that I am rather won over by this. I’ve been playing with the formula and it’s pretty impressive. I’m pretty pale and I think I can actually use one of the lighter medium shades. They go very light, which is often lacking in many ranges. In terms of the lighter shades which I am most familiar with, the selection is excellent. ![]() They are divided into shade range, eg fair, light, medium, which is then split into undertone, cool, neutral, warm. 16 Hour Camo Concealer range is very cleverly organised shade wise. I have all the shade swatches here for you! E.L.F. However, I would recommend the original matte formula for oily skin/areas or sweaty days. Here’s the lowdown on the brand new E.L.F. It will also work much better when I want to skip foundation altogether and just use concealer, since the matte finish stands out more against bare skin. Hydrating Camo Concealer is a better fit for my personal makeup routine as I typically wear satin or demi-matte finish foundations, and this will blend in easier for a seamless appearance. If you watched the video then you’ll know that I experienced the matte finish staying set and dry longer throughout the day, while the satin finish had slight transfer once my natural oils started coming through. Aside from that area, the coverage on my cheeks over dark spots and blemishes still looked flawless after 8+ hours, both maintaining coverage and blended edges. I experienced similar– yet very very subtle– creasing under the eyes as with the original (you can see a comparison in the video at the top of the page). And so, the matte Camo Concealer went unused for several months. Come winter, however, I was shying away from my matte finishes and embracing more radiant makeup to balance out my dry skin. I had never experienced a concealer that could last almost crease-free on me all day, so this was a game changer. 16 HR Camo Concealer, my makeup routine was taken up a notch.
